Trusted Security Solutions Inc., a provider of secure ATM key management solutions, is benefiting from HP's decision to place the Atalla Trusted Print Center on the End of Service Life list, the company has announced.
"Several new clients have come to us for replacement of the function provided by the ATPC now that is has gone end-of-life," said TSS Director of Business Development, David Pharr. "There are some similarities in the Comvelopes that our A98 solution uses and the paper, folded and sealed components rendered by the ATPC, and that is the reason we get the initial interest."
Most ATMs today can be initially keyed using remote key loading procedures, which eliminates the need for paper components. This development prompted many in the industry to predict the end of paper components for ATM key loading.
"But that did not happen," said Pharr, "while the A98 provides remote key loading for all remote key capable ATMs, our orders for Comvelopes have not diminished but rather grown in number."
The A98 solution offers compliant, comprehensive key management for all ATMs, allowing FIs and processors to eliminate non-compliant global keys and replace them with unique double-length triple DES keys using Comvelopes. Additionally, A98 allows organizations to dispense with paper components and manual logs through automated remote key generation, distribution and loading.
