Peregrin announces that with its patented SeguraCash application and Columbus Data Services ATM processing, merchants can now add time-release safe functionality to their ATM and save the $4,000 to $5,500 expense of a separate time-release safe system.
ATMs installed in more than 230,000 merchant locations can be used for secure cash dispensing by employees for CODs and lottery payouts or to replenish cash drawers, the company said.
With SeguraCash, bills are simply placed into the ATM’s cassette; transactions are closed loop and do not use card or bank networks. Additionally, all dispense transactions and cash balances can be monitored remotely from any web-enabled device.
Another application of SeguraCash is teller-cash dispensing. Cash-intensive businesses such as check cashers or casinos can use a SeguraCash ATM to quickly and accurately dispense cash with real-time monitoring and control.
“The SeguraCash time-release safe application adds functionality to your ATM without costly modifications," said John Willmon, SVP of business development at Columbus Data Services. "More ATM functionality is what ATM operators are looking for."
