The iF International Design Forum has awarded Nautilus Hyosung its 2012 iF Communication Design Award for next generation ATM graphical user interface. The iF Design announcement was made on Dec. 12 from iF headquarters in Hannover, Germany.
The iF Design Award is organized by the independent iF Design Group. According to a press release, the iF product design award is considered one of the most prestigious design awards with 1,054 product entries from around the globe.
All award-winning entries will be presented at the iF design exhibition, which will run parallel to CeBIT March 6–10, 2012 at the Hannover exhibition center.
Nautilus Hyosung won the award in the communication category for its online/offline applications development for an ATM graphical user interface. Significantly, this the first time this award has been given to an ATM company.
Nautilus Hyosung's winning interface design features intuitive and scaled transaction prompts, user "breadcrumbs" throughout a transaction, and user controls enabling movement of the entire interface to user selected heights.
Nautilus Hyosung's graphical display also has user friendly features like drag and drop elements. The screen flow and interaction elements are designed to facilitate complicated transactions for those customers who are new to using ATMs.
"We are delighted that iF has recognized our singular focus on the end users of our technology, and we will continue to strive to put our customer's requirements first when developing products for optimal usability," said Hoon Lee, software development director, Nautilus Hyosung.
