The ATM Industry Association has announced its second annual forum on ATM innovation, which will focus on cash recirculation at ATMs. The forum will be held in Vienna, Austria, on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at the Hotel Savoyen.
Particularly, the forum will discuss how cash recirculation technologies and retail partnership can work together toward running the operation costs of cash in Europe.
"Europe is at the 'early adopter' stage of embracing cash recirculation at ATMs. Some of the major banking groups have implemented cash recirculation technologies at their ATMs and others are in the pilot stage of deployment. There is huge interest in recirculation cash at ATMs right now," said Flora Hamilton, executive director of ATMIA Europe.
The keynote addresses will be given by Sylvain Calluaud, senior issuing expert at the European Central Bank, and by Victoria Cleland, head of notes division at the Bank of England, as well as Leonor Machado, chairperson of the Cash Working Group at the European Payments Council.
