Multi-vendor self-service software provider Phoenix Interactive Design Inc., and A2iA, a developer of tools for handwritten and machine-printed text recognition, today announced the integration of A2iA's CheckReader and Phoenix's VISTAatm Intelligent Deposit solution.
The companies announced the integration today at the ATM, Debit & Prepaid Forum in Las Vegas. The event is happening today through Nov. 4.
CheckReader provides details of check image quality and usability, and performs recognition on all data-points on the check, including recognition and comparison of CAR (courtesy amount) and LAR (legal amount).
The integrated solution combines check amount recognition rates with the ability for customers to view thumbnail images and zoom in on the details of the check. The check images, along with details and statistics of each deposit, are consolidated and made available for centralized management of disputes and reconciliation.
