Mitek Systems Inc., a provider of mobile-imaging solutions, announced version 3.0 of its Mobile Deposit product that enables mobile-banking customers to make deposits by taking pictures of checks with their smartphone cameras. The announcement of the new version was made yesterday at the BAI Retail Delivery Conference in Chicago. The conference ends today.
According to the company, the new version improves the user experience and performance of Mitek's mobile Remote Deposit Capture product, which now runs on Windows Server 2008 R2. It also supports more check formats with unique MICRs.
New CFO appointment
Mitek also announced that Russell C. Clark, a software industry finance executive, has been appointed Chief Financial Officer.

"Russ is a seasoned finance executive with deep experience in high-growth public software companies. He is a perfect fit for Mitek Systems."
Most recently, Clark served as senior vice president of finance at Epicor Software, a provider of enterprise business software solutions for midmarket-sized companies. He also served as chief accounting officer at Peregrine Systems, as vice president of finance at FICO, and as senior vice president of finance at HNC Software.
