Fifth Third Processing Solutions LLC, one of the nation’s largest payment processors, announced yesterday that it has changed its name to Vantiv LLC.
“Vantiv embodies and advances our strategic direction as we help our customers better achieve their goals," said Charles Drucker, the company’s president and CEO. “In our industry, every transaction is the most important one. With so much at stake, customers expect more. Vantiv is our commitment to deliver.”
The new brand signals the company’s long-term commitment to product development, innovation and growth. This includes added investment in areas such as eCommerce, mobile-payment technology, prepaid debit, fraud and security prevention and other emerging payment opportunities, company officials said.
Fifth Third Processing was formed in 1971. Vantiv is a joint venture between Advent International and Fifth Third Bank, a subsidiary of Fifth Third Bancorp.
The company’s new 250,000 square-foot headquarters office in the Cincinnati area opens later this month.
