NCR Corp. today announced the promotion of Luc Villeneuve to managing director of Europe, an important revenue producing region for the ATM manufacturer.
Villeneuve will work across 10 countries in Europe, where NCR has a direct regional presence. In addition, Villeneuve will work in another 30 countries through distributors and channel partners. Peter Leav, NCR senior vice president of Global Sales, is his boss, and Villeneuve will report to him.

NCR, which is based in Duluth, Ga., is putting Villeneuve in charge of an important region.
Seventy-five percent of NCR's annual revenues come from international markets, and the ATM manufacturer is targeting growth in Western Europe, and the emerging markets of Russia, Turkey and Eastern Europe. 
"In more developed markets, the consumers' self-service experience is helping to increase loyalty, productivity and revenue levels for business," said Villeneuve. "In emerging markets, there's an opportunity to install the self-service infrastructure to reach and engage more consumers. My focus is to build on NCR's leadership position in Europe by tightly aligning our regional R&D, manufacturing, services and channel strategies with the needs of our customers across the market."
Villeneuve also will work with two of NCR's R&D global centers, which are based in Europe.
They include the mobile center for excellence in Edinburgh, Scotland, and the multi-industry, multichannel center in Dundee, Scotland. The bilingual Villeneuve, who previously headed NCR Canada Ltd., will be based in Paris. Linda Fitzgerald succeeded him in Canada. NCR is the world's largest ATM manufacturer based on annual shipments.
