Bank Machine Ltd., Cardtronics Inc.’s United Kingdom-based subsidiary, today announced that it has signed its first managed services agreement.
Bank Machine will provide maintenance and handle cash deliveries for Yorkshire Building Society’s 20 ATMs, both companies said. The companies signed a multiyear agreement. Yorkshire Building Society is the second-largest in the U.K., with 2.8 million members and assets of 30 billion British pounds. A building society is a financial institution owned by members.
The Bradford, U.K.-based financial institution has 178 branches, and the building society has expressed interest in deploying more ATMs in its branches.
Bank Machine operates more than 3,000 ATMs throughout the U.K., with locations ranging from convenience and department stores, said Ron Delnevo, Bank Machine’s managing director. Houston-based Cardtronics is the world's largest ATM independent sales organization based on machines owned and operated.
