I-design group plc will install advertising software in 500 free-to-use ATMs owned by YourCash Ltd., one of Europe's largest independent ATM deployers, both companies announced Wednesday.
I-design initially will install its atmAd on 300 YourCash ATMs in the U.K. and 200 YourCash ATMs in the Netherlands. The product enables ATM deployers to show commercials on their ATMs' monitors. The commercials appear while cardholders wait for the ATMs to dispense cash. In a demonstration on i-design's website, the ATM dispensed funds and a receipt printed with a discount coupon to Pizza Hut.
YourCash CEO Jenny Campbell said the company is delighted to work with i-design.
"Having advertising on our ATMs will undoubtedly add value to our retail partners who host our ATMs in their convenience store locations," Campbell said. YourCash, which operates 1,700 free-to-use ATMs throughout the U.K., recently announced that it deployed 130 free-to-use ATMs in Poundland, a U.K. discount retailer. YourCash is based in Milton Keynes, England.
Ana Stewart, CEO of i-design, said the agreement with YourCash expands atmAd's third-party advertising network to 9,900 ATMs.
In September, i-design signed a similar agreement with Bank Machine Ltd., which is owned by Cardtronics Inc. I-design has installed the atmAd software on nearly 800 Bank Machine ATMs.
