Two Texas-based credit unions have joined Co-op Network, operator of one of the nation's largest surcharge-free ATM networks for credit unions.
The credit unions are Houston Highway CU, which is based in Houston, and YOUR FCU, which is based in Irving, a Dallas suburb.
Co-op Network operates 28,000 ATMs nationwide, including 9,000 deposit-taking machines.
In Texas, there are 1,200 ATMs in the Co-op Network and 200 deposit-taking machines. The ATMs are deployed in 7-Eleven, Costco and Walgreens stores. The machines also are located in credit unions' facilities.
More than 200 Texas credit unions are members of Co-op Network, said Bill Prichard, a spokesperson for Co-op Financial Services, which operates Co-op Network.
Both companies are based in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.
