Solvport improves project-management capabilities

Solvport, an ATM- and kiosk-services provider has adopted the Project Management Institute’s Project Lifecycle methodology for project management.
The Project Management Institute (PMI) provides a framework for project management, said Glenn R. Boyet, spokesperson for the Newtown Square, Pa.-based non-profit organization.
Joe Stevens, vice president of field operations for Solvport, which is based in Portland, Ore., said adoption of PMI's lifecycle methodology will improve Solvport’s project management capabilities.
“Solvport has proven our ability to manage complex ATM and kiosks projects for our customers,” Stevens said. “After reviewing best practices across multiple industries, we have developed our unique project management lifecycle. Our adoption of the PMI project management lifecycle methodology takes our management capabilities to a new level.”
Solvport has taken all of Project Management Institute’s project-management cycles and adapted them to the firm’s business, said Shawne Carr, the company’s marketing manager.
The project management cycles are: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling and closing. Some of Solvport’s projects include deploying and rebranding ATMs nationally, regionally and locally.
