Triton names VP of Business Development
Long Beach, Miss. -- Dr. Ernest Burdette, president and CEO of Triton, announced that Brian J. Kett has been named vice president of business development. For the past two years, Kett has served as Triton's director of Canadian Operations. In his expanded role, Kett will oversee all business development issues, both domestic and international. Under Kett's direction, Triton has become a leading provider of ATMs for off-premise locations in Canada and Australia. Kett was responsible for many of Triton's new business directives, including its Canadian processing business, Calypso Canada. "Brian deserves significant credit for Triton's rapid international expansion and its leadership role in redefining the market for cash dispensing systems in the U.S., Canada and our targeted countries worldwide," Burdette said. Before joining Triton, Kett was vice president of Shell Canada's Unbranded Operations, where he was responsible for overall operations of all three legal entities with combined sales of $800 million per year. Kett previously spent more than a decade in senior management positions at Shell Canada, bringing to Triton significant expertise in the retail fuel and convenience store markets. "Business development is anticipating as well as responding to trends, and I see my task as identifying the opportunities, building the relationships and creating the infrastructures -- specific to each country -- and making it happen seamlessly. It's an exciting place to be," Kett said.
