De La Rue introduces new dispenser at RDS
MIAMI -- De La Rue Cash Systems will launch a new dispensing mechanism, the NMD 50, at BAI's Retail Delivery '99 conference in Miami Beach. The NMD 50, which will be available in 2000, has been specifically developed for the retail and non-banking market, with the ability to dispense non-cash items such as tickets, stamps and phone cards. The latest addition to the NMD family, the NMD 50 is a single denomination entry-level platform, with the option of being upgradable to four denominations. The tower configuration, friction-feed mechanism offers front delivery of banknotes and other media. The mechanism delivers the benefits of high feed performance and reliability, with low cost of ownership as no planned maintenance is required. The cassette interlocks both mechanically and electronically, allowing for service access without the need to remove cassettes from the machine. Individual replenishment of cassettes without removing the machine from service also means less downtime.
