Financial Technologies deploys ATMs at O'Charley's
JACKSON, Miss. -- Financial Technologies, which drives about 2,500 ATMs in the U.S. And Canada, is installing ATMs at O'Charley's Restaurants in Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama. The deployment follows a successful yearlong beta test of three machines in the Nashville area. Financial Technologies will provide processing and other services. A company spokesman said deployments should be concluded by the end of January. "We believe the installation of ATMs in selected stores will offer our 'on the-go' customers a complete and valuable service, creating a more convenient and timely way for them to handle their financial transactions," said David Blackburn, regional vice president of operations for O'Charley's. O'Charley's operates 117 restaurants in 11 states in the Southeast and Midwest. The casual dining chain opened 18 new restaurants in 1999 and has plans for 21 more in 2000.
