NORWOOD, Mass. -- e-ClassicSystems, Inc., an ATM management software company, has added an Asset Configuration module to its ATM Manager Pro software suite.
According to a news release, the addition of the new module will allow customers to build an
ATM Information File (AIF) for all ATM-related data.
"With the growing importance on ATM tracking and proper information management, our customers felt it vital to have a system capable of audit-level detail on ATMs," said Tom Meurer, president of e-ClassicSystems. "It is our hope that financial institutions will adopt the AIF as an industry standard as they have with the Customer Information File."
According to the release, the Asset Configuration module builds and manages all acquisition, configuration, and asset management and disposition aspects of each terminal including all
hardware, software, and communication components of each terminal; vendor and
user supplied options; contents and purpose of each dispenser in the terminal; warranty and service contract data; all signage options; and upgrade history.
"Tracking our assets and understanding what our customers see in the market is of paramount importance to us," said Jack Coffey, vice president, Electronic Banking Services at Citizens Bank, an e-Classic Systems client. "The Asset Configuration module will enable anyone in our organization to know what terminals are deployed, how they are configured, and what terminals need upgrades."
The other four modules in ATM Manager Pro are: Location and Transaction Management, which maintains essential location information and collects transaction data from each processor; Terms, Accounting and Profitability, which catalogues contract terms and
agreements with third parties and automatically computes ATM profitability; Cash Management, which forecasts cash needs and manages cash orders, replenishments and vault cash; and Event Management, which tracks terminal events to understand downtime and work completed.
The company also recently announced the availability of a Microsoft SQL Server version of ATM Manager Pro.
"SQL Server was an obvious extension of ATM Manager Pro to meet the demands of larger customers," Meurer said. "This version allows for higher volumes, greater performance and improved efficiencies compared to the Access database version. It will also provide accessibility to the ATM Manager Pro central database to disparate users worldwide via wide area networks."
More than 35 customers utilize ATM Manager Pro to manage some 26,000 ATMs, according to the release.
