NEW YORK, N.Y. -- The Bank of New York said that its network of 350 ATMs was completely operational as of the evening of Sept. 19.

The network went down after the bank's mainframe computer system was damaged during Sept. 11's terror attacks that devastated the World Trade Center.

The bank had advised its customers to use the ATMs of other banks while repairs were made to the mainframe, allowing withdrawals of up to $100 per day. Customers will be reimbursed for those transaction charges.
