ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc. debuted the Fujitsu 8030™, a through-the-wall and kiosk, drive-up ATM, at the Bank Administration Institute's Retail Delivery Conference and Expo, Dec. 11-13, 2001.
The 8030 is designed for small spaces and next-generation functionality, and also is a high-capacity Windows-based, Web-enabled unit. The 8030 is expected to be available in March of 2002. Allfirst Financial, based in Baltimore, currently is beta testing the 8030.
"Fujitsu's 8030 model reflects our commitment to quality, reliability and easy access from most types of vehicles," said Neill Collins, vice president of financial services at Fujitsu's Dallas headquarters, in a news release. "Much like the full Series 8000 line of ATMs, the 8030 includes next-generation features, a small physical footprint, and it will exceed anticipated requirements for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act."
The 8030 is designed to integrate into existing 912-compatible networks. It also offers compliance with April 1, 2002, Triple DES security deadlines, and can dispense non-traditional media such as stamps, coupons, phone cards or event tickets. Additional features include rear-service access for quick updates and maintenance with an 8.4-inch SVGA LCD color display, a 12.1-inch SVGA color customer display, and a Celeron processor standard (Pentium III optional) with 128MB of RAM.
