DALLAS -- Philadelphia-based Genpass Inc. is moving the technology and operations center of subsidiary Genpass Technologies -- owner and operator of the MoneyMaker and Money Belt EFT networks -- to Irving, Texas, a Dallas suburb. The office space was formerly the world headquarters of GTE and is owned by Prentiss Properties.
Prentiss and Genpass Technologies have signed a long-term lease on the property, located in the Las Colinas Office Center. The six-story building, which contains more than 150,000 square feet of space, has specialized climate controls for computer spaces and complete fiber optic cabling plus over 1500 lines, both analog and ISDN, already in place.
The site will house the executive offices of the Genpass Technologies group, as well as the Genpass full-service national call center and offices of two other Genpass subsidiaries – Genpass Service Solutions, an independent ATM servicing and maintenance company, and Genpass ATM Solutions, which specializes in ATM deployments.
"The site offers us an opportunity to re-establish our EFT platform and prepare for its expansion without any interruption to our customers," said Genpass President and Chief Executive Officer Bipin Shah. "This center will support the newest technologies and products for our financial institution and corporate customers."
Plans currently call for the Genpass Technologies executive offices and customer support to move from their current Dallas location in the first half of 2002. The technology and operations functions will transfer to the new site in the second half of 2002.
