HOUSTON -- The PULSE EFT Association expects to have its full network of ATMs and point-of-sale terminals up and running by noon on June 12, according to an Associated Press report.
Access was disrupted over the weekend when Pulse's primary and secondary power supplies in Houston were flooded during the aftermath of Hurricane Allison. Officials then switched operations to a processing center in Dallas.
Some of the network's 175,000 ATMs and 300,000 POS devices in 22 states were disabled. States that were affected are Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Colorado, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, West Virginia, Florida, Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia and Iowa.
The emergency was the worst in PULSE's 20-year history.
