LONDON -- NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR) has built and shipped its 1,000th Personas 73 for delivery to China Trust Commercial Bank (CTCB) in Taiwan.

The Personas 73 is NCR's first dedicated bunch cash accepting ATM, which began production in September 1999. It validates currency and enables a bank to offer real-time credit for cash deposit or bill payment.

According to NCR, initial demand for the Personas 73 has been particularly strong in Asia, though it's available in all markets.

The Personas 73 was NCR's first mainstream NT-only solution and has been deployed by banks within networks where the rest of the ATMs are running the OS2 operating system.
