ATM Direct says its software allows PIN-based Internet payment

DALLAS -- ATM Direct, Inc. says it has completed development of software that enables PIN based ATM/Debit and/or credit card transactions on the Internet.

"Our vision is to turn every PC, hand-held device, and mobile phone into a secure virtual ATM machine," said Bob Widner, CEO of ATM Direct. "As an alternative payments solution, our technology provides web retailers and merchants with an option that essentially eliminates the opportunity for fraudulent transactions and costly charge-backs."

The company says it is currently in negotiations with several ATM/EFT networks and merchant processors who have expressed interest in licensing and marketing its technology.
