AMARILLO, Texas -- ATM processor Core Data and ATM manufacturer Tranax (formerly Cross International Technologies) are introducing what they call a simple and cost-effective solution to the new ATM network encryption standards.
Using the new procedures, Tranax will inject unique encryption keys into each ATM at a central facility prior to shipping. Upon installation, Core Data will automatically recognize the ATM, register its encryption keys and begin processing transactions. The procedures will virtually eliminate field installers and technicians from the cryptographic process, according to a news release.
"The collaborative efforts of Core Data and Tranax is a significant shift to an asymmetric encryption process that will prove to be the easiest, fastest and most secure method to meet and exceed network requirements," said Keevin Clark, executive vice president of Core Data.
"Our solution enables our customers to comply with the new ATM network encryption standards effortlessly," said Hansup Kwon, president of Tranax Technologies.
