TeamLinux recruits former NCR exec

DAYTON, Ohio - In the latest in a series of moves designed to bolster its presence in the kiosk market, TeamLinux has hired former NCR Corp. attorney Paul M. Samson as a senior consultant and chief counsel.

Samson was a senior attorney in NCR's corporate law group and has extensive knowledge of compliance issues with federal agencies.

Samson's hiring follows TeamLinux's announcement earlier this month of an extension of its relationship with Muze Inc., a provider of entertainment product for 3,900 kiosks deployed worldwide. Last October, TeamLinux acquired the assets of Gem City Engineering Co.'s kiosk division. As a result, it created "exploreStudio," a business division devoted to kiosks and special device designs.
