CCS expands into international market

PORTLAND, ORE. -- Card Capture Services has established satellite offices in Montreal and Mexico City under the names CCS Canada and CCS Mexico, respectively.

CCS President and CEO Dave Grano, noting that the international market for ATMs is outpacing the U.S., said, "CCS has successfully developed a market for independent ATMs in the U.S. We believe this expertise will translate in other countries. The worldwide demand for convenient, safe access to cash is clear, and we now have the infrastructure in place to go forward."

Canada is a popular first step for U.S. companies entering the international market and due to changes Canadian legislation, non-bank companies are now able to deploy ATMs in Canada. "The opening of the Canadian market coincided with our interest in expanding internationally. The timing was right," said David Cheveallier, director of international for CCS.

CCS opened CCS Canada in Montreal in the third quarter of 1997. The office is staffed by three Canadian employees.

CCS purchased the privately-owned, Mexico City-based company SEISA in the fourth quarter of 1998 to enter the emerging independent ATM market in Mexico. The new company, CCS Mexico, has a staff of eight.

Patricio Mangino and Manual Mangino, formerly of SEISA, will lead CCS Mexico. Both have over 20 years experience in the Mexican ATM and banking industries. Most recently, they were distributors of Diebold and Triton ATMs.
