EDMONTON, Alberta Canada -- Canadian ISO Cash N Go Ltd has acquired another Canadian ISO, Hamilton, Ontario-based ABM Direct.
The acquisition of ABM Direct, which owns and operates a network of ATMs in convenience stores, hospitals, airports and gaming facilities throughout southern Ontario, increases Cash N Go's transaction processing business by about 40 percent, according to Cash N Go President Ken Nichols.
Cash N Go was the first Canadian ATM deployer to own and operate its own ATM switch and operate ATMs in every region of the country, Nichols said.
Cash N Go is an authorized Triton distributor, while ABM Direct is an NCR partner.
Nichols believes the fragmented Canadian ISO industry is beginning to consolidate, much as it has done in the past year in the U.S. "We recognize this as only the start of consolidation in the industry, and Cash N Go will continue to take an active role in this process," he said.
