Companies to offer prepaid InternetCash cards at public terminals

MINNEAPOLIS -- Advants, Inc. (Nasdaq: PHON), a national system of public Internet access terminals, has formed a strategic alliance with New York-based InternetCash Corporation to offer prepaid InternetCash cards to use for e-commerce purchases on Advants terminals.

Users who log onto the InternetCash Web site at an Advants terminal will be able to experience cash-based e-commerce at over 200 online
merchant sites.

InternetCash issues pre-paid stored value cards, similar to a prepaid phone card, that are available for purchase at brick-and-mortar retailers or at InternetCash.

"The Advants terminals network greatly expands our potential level of distribution," said Charles Doherty, InternetCash CEO and co-founder.

Advants, Inc. is a majority-owned subsidiary of Choicetel Communications, Inc., (Nasdaq: PHON), which owns and operates pay telephones. The company is building a nationwide network of public Internet access terminals and plans to install more than 30,000 terminals over the next three years. Advants terminals are equipped with a computer, monitor and keyboard, and also include a dollar bill acceptor and credit card swipe.

InternetCash Corporation was formed in February 1999 to focus on developing e-commerce consumer products and payment and transaction infrastructure solutions for the Internet. The privately-owned company has received funding of over $10 million to date. Investors include D. James Bidzos, co-founder and chairman of VeriSign, and Daniel Lynch, co-founder and chairman of CyberCash.
