HOUSTON -- Enjoying its best sales ever, Tidel increased its ATM shipments by 41 percent for the three-month period ending June 30, 1999 over the same quarter last year.
During this quarter, Tidel shipped 1,939 new ATMs. During the same quarter last year the Texas-based company sold 1,379 units. This quarter's sales record surpassed that recorded in March for the previous quarter by 28 percent at 1,511 units sold.
For the first half of this year, Tidel sold a record 3,450 ATMs, an increase of 38% from the 2,510 units shipped in the first-half of 1998. Last year, Tidel sold a total of 4,324.
The company reports its top-selling machine is the Ignition series ATM. It recently began to sell its Chameleon Internet Transaction Machine.
