HOUSTON - Tidel Technologies, Inc.'s manufacturing unit, Tidel Engineering LP, has received ISO 9001:2000 certification for its design, manufacture and distribution of cash handling and delivery machines, according to a Tidel release.

SRI Quality System Registrar awarded the certification following an independent audit of Tidel Engineering's system of quality standards and procedures. ISO 9001:2000 is an internationally recognized standard defining the requirements for a quality management system that consistently meets customer quality demands and regulatory requirements worldwide. The new 2000 standards replace 1994 versions.

The certification will help Tidel build its international sales effort, interim CEO Mark K. Levenick said in the release.
