TORONTO -- TNS Smart Network, a privately-owned company that provides ATM and point-of-sale transaction processing, says it now provides processing for 4,000 ATMs in Canada.
Mischa Weisz, TNS Smart Network president and chief executive officer, noted that the number reflects growth of 56 percent since the beginning of the year. "In this volatile marketplace, stability and profitability are a must for our Independent Sales Organizations and merchants to ensure permanence and viability in the future," he said.
Weisz said that TNS, which offers both an in-house processing solution and sales of its proprietary Smart Processing Suite software, is launching a new settlement system called "DepositExec" that is designed to allow customers to define their ATMs' business day and ensure easier balancing.
The company also plans to introduce new data mining and analysis tools.
