NORTH CANTON, Ohio and DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. -- ATM manufacturer Diebold has entered into an agreement with Mosaic Software to become a reseller of Mosaic's Postilion ATM driving and transaction switching products. Diebold representatives will market Postilion to their financial institution clients.
Through the agreement, Diebold will be able to license Postilion directly to its North American customers, providing for a complete ATM hardware and software platform to handle ATM driving, switching, network management, settlement and reconciliation.
In addition, the Postilion architecture permits the implementation of new products and services at ATMs, kiosks and other self-service devices. In a news release, Diebold and Mosaic say there is a growing demand for advanced functionality.
Postilion will replace Pace, OneLink and iConnect, Diebold's proprietary ATM driving and monitoring software.
John H. Tyler, vice president of Software and Services at Diebold, said in the release, "Mosaic's Postilion software solution allows us to provide a true multi-channel design enabling customers to run numerous types of terminals and transactions on the same software platform."
In the release,, Johann Dreyer, Mosaic's chief executive officer, called the agreement "a tremendous business opportunity for both organizations."
"The combination of Diebold's experienced sales and professional services organization and Mosaic's Postilion software provides a very strong competitive offering and a natural migration path for their existing customers," Dreyer said.
Mosaic is training Diebold's professional services organization on installation and maintenance of the Postilion system. "We'll provide second- and third-line support if Diebold needs it," said Chris Klein, Mosaic's vice president of marketing.
While the term "total solution" has been overused in the industry, Klein said, "This really is a total solution."
