HOUSTON -- Cardtronics is listed on the Houston 100 list, a ranking of privately owned companies with the biggest economic impact on the Houston area, for the fourth consecutive year.
According to a news release, the ISO was ranked fifth in total sales volume for 2001 and fifth in absolute sales increase from 1999-2001. Cardtronics was ranked number 50 in sales growth percentage between 1999 and 2001.
Cardtronics employs 85 and is headquartered in a newly constructed 24,000-square-foot facility in west Houston. The company, founded in 1989, has service representatives in every major U.S. market.
"Achieving this distinction for the fourth consecutive year puts us in a very exclusive group of companies that have proven themselves to be successful at sustaining a high growth rate over a prolonged period of time," said Ralph Clinard, president and chief executive officer of Cardtronics, in the release. "Houston has been a great city in which to build our business, and we are looking forward to another successful year ahead."
The University of Houston Small Business Development Center, in cooperation with the Houston Business Journal and the Greater Houston Partnership, compiles the Houston 100 list, based on information supplied by the companies.
Cardtronics was also ranked number 132 on the Inc 500 List of the fastest growing U.S. companies in 2001.
