KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia -- TIMECel, the mobile communications unit of TIME dotcom Berhad (TIME), and Maybank have entered into a joint collaboration that will allow TIMECel 017 Prepaid customers to purchase TIMECel Prepaid TopUp service at any of more than 1,200 Maybank/ Mayban Finance Kawanku ATMs.
According to a report in the Star, they will also be able to top-up via Maybank's financial portal at www.maybank2u.com.
The Prepaid TopUp procedure allows customers to purchase a Prepaid TopUp PIN in denominations of RM30 (Malaysian ringgits, approximately $8 U.S.), RM50 or RM100. The TopUp PIN will be clearly printed once the transaction is successful, the two companies said in a joint news release.
In conjunction with the launch, customers who purchase their Prepaid Airtime at Maybank Kawanku ATMs or Maybank2u.com will enjoy free airtime worth RM3 and RM10, respectively, for the purchase of every RM50 and RM100 of Prepaid Airtime value through Dec. 31.
"This collaboration with TIMECel offers added convenience to Maybank customers who are TIMECel Mobile Prepaid customers," said Johar Che' Mat, Maybank's executive vice-president and head of the retail financial services group.
