Shazam certifies Fujitsu's Series 8000 ATMs

DALLAS -- Fujitsu's Series 8000 ATMs have been certified to operate on the Shazam EFT network, which serves more than 1,600 financial institutions with almost 6,500 ATMs in 36 states.

"Certification from member-owned SHAZAM will especially benefit Fujitsu's business partners in the Midwest," said Neill Collins, Fujitsu's vice president of financial systems, in a press release.

To achieve certification, SHAZAM tested Fujitsu's Model 8040 through-the-wall ATM. Tests were conducted successfully on the ATM's core cash-transaction functionality and its recovery from problems such as power failure.
