ONTARIO, Calif. -- To help its member credit unions maintain and monitor their ATM fleets, CO-OP Network is introducing the ATM Device Inquiry system, an online tool that provides credit union staff with immediate updates and 24-hour access to the status of their ATM
network.
According to a news release, Device Inquiry delivers instant notification to credit unions about down or problem ATMs, while also maintaining device trends and ATM history records for each ATM.
"The system has improved our ability to keep ATMs running, significantly reducing the response time it used to take to fix down ATMs. The process is simple to use and has proven to be very beneficial," said Shawn Jensen, Vista Federal Credit Union ATM Department supervisor, and a participant of the system's pilot program.
"By providing our Device Inquiry system, we're giving credit unions a tool to keep their ATM fleet running efficiently, which ultimately helps maintain the satisfaction of their membership." said Robert Rose, president and chief executive of CO-OP Network, in the release.
Established in 1981, CO-OP Network is wholly-owned by its credit union shareholders and provides volume discounts on products and services that include risk management as well as debit and deposit access. With nearly 1,200 credit union members, nearly 15,000 surcharge-free ATMs, 60 million monthly transactions and 11 million cardholders, CO-OP Network is one of the country's largest EFT networks. It also offers national shared branch services through its subsidiary, Southfield, Mich.-based Service Centers Corporation.
