MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Harris Bank, a $28 billion Chicago-based community bank, will pilot the new Metavante Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Data Mart, an online information tool that will enable the bank to access and analyze debit- and ATM-card transactions.

According to a news release, the EFT Data Mart offers Harris Bank  Internet access to a set of statistical and usage queries the bank can use to produce reports and graphs for tracking performance of debit and ATM cards and analyzing historical trends. In the pilot phase, Harris Bank will generate reports that not only show transaction volumes but card types and usage volumes for all debit cards and ATM cards.

Barbara McStowe, Harris Bank vice president and debit products marketing manager, said in the release, "In the future, we look forward to using this product to perform extensive analysis on our cardholder spending patterns and analyze our ATM activity, ultimately leveraging the analysis into even more effective marketing initiatives. The ability to use the product through a web-browser and not have to install special software will also greatly facilitate access."

Metavante, the financial technology subsidiary of Marshall & Ilsley Corporation (NYSE:MI), will demonstrate the EFT Data Mart in booth #925 at BAI's Retail Delivery Conference and Expo, Nov. 5-7 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

Metavante provides EFT and card services, including debit, stored value and credit card processing, card personalization, ATM management, gateway transaction processing, merchant processing and transportation payment solutions, to approximately 1,600 financial institutions and transportation agencies in the U.S.
