MELBOURNE, Australia -- ATM Solutions Australasia Pty Ltd, an Australian ISO that is 50 percent owned by South Africa's ATM Solutions, has received the Admirals Club award as the fastest-growing Triton distributor in Asia for 2002.
Tim Wildash, the ISO's managing director, also was recently appointed to the Advisory Council of the Australian Payments and Clearing Association (APCA) Advisory Council.
According to a news release, the award and Wildash's appointment cap a period of growth and increased involvement for ATM Solutions Australasia, which also holds a position on both the regional board of ATM Industry Association (ATMIA) Australasia and ATMIA's International Board.
Wildash said that ATM Solutions Australasia is looking forward to further strong growth, as he expects the commencement of surcharging in the Australian ATM market within 12 months. The ISO plans to triple its current installed base of 910 ATMs.
"Service" has been a watchword for Wildash, part of his formula for success.
"We are able to completely control our service back-up," he said, "having the benefit of Triton's ATM monitoring system and using our own people working proactively, often identifying note jams and similar situations before our clients are even aware the ATM has a problem. We can get on the phone telling them what to do to fix the problem, which saves on a technical call and importantly ensures our ATMs are up and running." ATM Solutions controls its own cash, with Bank of Queensland providing support, and runs both a help desk and a technical support operation.
"We want to keep costs to a minimum but service levels at a maximum," Wildash said.
Along with other Admirals Club winners, Wildash will enjoy an all-expenses-paid trip to Aruba in February.
