HOUSTON -- Cardtronics says it has acquired the ATMs and related transaction processing contracts for 22 locations in 10 shopping malls across the country from San Diego-based CenterCourt Cash, Inc.
Of the 22 CenterCourt Cash locations included in the deal, 19 are located in California, and the remaining ATM sites are in Seattle and Baltimore.
For Cardtronics, the deal expands the company's presence outside of its core customer base of retail petroleum and other convenience store locations, according to a news release.
Jack Antonini, Cardtronics' new chief executive, said in the release, "We will be working to upgrade each location to boost customer services, either through co-branding opportunities with local banks or additional functionalities that will complement the retail locations."
