LONDON -- NCR Corporation says it will supply PEN, an independent deployer which entered the UK's ATM market last February, with a fully-managed ATM services deal to support its purchase of NCR's EasyPoint 53 ATMs.
According to a news release, the $1.6 million dollar deal is for 2003 and is part of a three-year managed services agreement that includes installation, merchant training, on-site support and a help desk to assist merchants in solving basic problems.
"NCR's knowledge of both the retail and ATM markets was instrumental in tailoring its services for the self-fill ATM market," said Nick Platt, PEN's managing director, in the release. "Our retailers associate NCR with quality and understand that NCR can manage the service operation of its ATMs better than any other service provider."
NCR's managed services, which PEN will brand "The Banking Standard," will be packaged with the EasyPoint 53 ATM, which PEN is already deploying in convenience stores, pubs and clubs throughout the UK.
"PEN will benefit from a single supplier accountability for all aspects of ATM operations; from installation through to ongoing service and merchant support," said Roger Bracken, NCR's vice president for services sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
