WARREN, Pa. -- Northwest Savings Bank (Nasdaq: NWSB - News) has expanded its ATM deployment agreement with Kwik Fill/Red Apple Food Marts, a subsidiary of the United Refining Company.
The new agreement will increase the number of Northwest Savings Bank ATMs in Kwik Fill/Red Apple stores from 23 to 70 by May 31. All of the machines will be located at stores in Pennsylvania, New York State and Ohio, according to a news release.
The agreement also allows for future additional ATM deployments.
Customers of Northwest Savings Bank and the Freedom ATM Alliance, a 27-bank consortium that offers free ATM usage to customers of member banks, will enjoy no-fee access to the new ATMs.
Through membership in the Freedom ATM Alliance, Northwest Savings Bank customers have surcharge-free access to more than 1,200 ATMs, according to the release.
Peter Conley, Kwik Fill/Red Apple's vice president of Retail Marketing, said in the release, "With its community banking philosophy, Northwest Savings Bank has proven to be beneficial to the success of this agreement. The additional ATMs will continue to help Kwik Fill/Red Apple broaden the services available at our stores and increase the conveniences we offer our customers."
Northwest Savings Bank has assets of $5 billion, and operates 129 community banking offices in Pennsylvania and Ohio. The bank's subsidiary, Jamestown Savings Bank, operates seven community banking offices in three counties in New York State.
