CAPE TOWN, South Africa -- The ATM Industry Association (ATMIA) has launched the first phase of a new Loyalty Plan for its members worldwide.
According to a news release, the association is increasing the number of member company discounts for attending its international conferences and events.
"We regard the goal of retaining existing members as even more important than gaining new members," said Lana Harmelink, ATMIA's international director of operations, in the release. "The retail and leisure sectors use loyalty programs to good effect, and we thought it was time to reward our loyal members."
ATMIA is increasing the number of conference discounts available to its members from two to three during the third year of membership, then up to four in the fourth year of membership, five in the fifth year and so on, up to a maximum of 10 discounts in the 10th year.
According to Dana Fullerton, U.S. marketing director for ATMIA Conferences LLC, the conference arm of ATMIA, the discounts may be offered to any employee of the member company in any part of the world.
The approximate value of conference discounts for each member are $300 U.S.
The association plans to announce additional phases of its Loyalty Plan soon, according to Mike Lee, ATMIA's international director.
