CARY, N.C. -- Transoft International Inc., a currency management software provider, says that Bank of Ireland (BOI) will use its OptiCash, OptiNet and OptiVault software.
According to a news release, Bank of Ireland will use the system to streamline business processes and optimize cash levels in its ATMs, branches and vaults.
BOI spokesman Jim Molloy said in the release, "We were very impressed by the feedback we received from existing Transoft users, and we look forward to a successful partnership with Transoft in enabling us to deliver ongoing benefits across all of Bank of Ireland's cash operations."
Bo H. Holmgreen, Transoft's president and chief executive, said Transoft has been expanding its activities in Europe since the introduction of the euro. "Being awarded this opportunity is further evidence of our leadership position in the European banking industry," he said.
Transoft's currency management products are offered directly to customers as in-house systems or as outsourced services operated by both global and regional partners, according to the release. Transoft manages cash for nearly 100,000 ATMs and bank branches across six continents.
