SALZBURG, Austria -- Keba, a manufacturer of automated industrial equipment and self-service banking terminals, says its Rondo 4 terminal has successfully passed a system test, based on the requirements of the European Central Bank's article 6, for the release of cash recycling at the German Central Bank.
Because the German Central Bank's approval is valid in all euro member states, the Rondo 4 cash recycling terminal need not be submitted for tests to other euro area National Central Banks (NCBs), according to a news release. (See related story ATM cash recycling clears regulatory hurdles)
In addition to cash recycling, the Rondo 4 can be configured to offer statement printing with optional bank transfer, bank transfer with full-surface scanning, deposit only or cash-in, cash-out functionality.
According to the release, self-service recycling terminals are typically operated as a cash-deposit machine first; when bank customers get used to the new machine, cash withdrawal and recycling functions can be added.
