HARTFORD, S. D. - Those interested in attending the ATM Industry Association's (ATMIA) ATM Future Summit & Awards will save $100 if they register for the Oct. 28-30 event in Indian Wells, Calif., before Sept. 17.
Presentations at the Oct. 28 Debit Forum will include: "Network Branded Stored Value Cards" by Ted Dargan of MasterCard; "Debit Card Fraud and Patriot Act Compliance Update" by Kurt Helwig of the Electronic Funds Transfer Association (EFTA); and "Opportunities for Prepaid Services at POS & ATMs" by Ron Ferguson of Euronet.
According to the ATMIA Web site, cost of a half-day Debit Forum workshop on Oct. 28 is $150 if attendees register before Sept. 17, and $250 for those who register after that date.
Conference presentations will include: "Impact of the Visa/MasterCard Wal-Mart Settlement on the Industry" by Dave Schneider of the Pulse EFT Association; "Trends in Countering Card Fraud: A Two-Year Forecast" by John Schettino of MasterCard; and "The Scalable Future of ATM Communications" by Mike Hudson of Tidel.
A conference highlight will be the Oct. 29 Second Annual Global ATM Industry Awards, sponsored by Banc Investment Group and Wells Fargo, during which recognition will be given to companies and individuals who have made a substantial difference in the industry in 2003. Cost of the conference, which includes an opening reception on Oct. 28; sessions and meals on Oct. 29-30; an exhibit hall pass; attendance an Oct. 29 awards banquet; and a conference workbook, ranges from $675 to $975 if registration is completed before Sept. 17. It rises to $775 to $1,175 after that date.
A variety of ither attendance options are available, including single-day conference attendance; award banquets attendance only; exhibit hall only; and workbook only.
