SEOUL, South Korea - ATM manufacturer NH (Nautilus Hyosung) has introduced ATOM, an ATM management system with features including resource management, real-time remote error management and cash management.
ATOM was presented at the China International Exhibition on Financial Banking Technology & Equipment 2003 held in Beijing last month, according to a news release. The system is already being used by Kookmin Bank, the largest bank in Korea.
According to the release, ATOM can be configured with CRM (Customer Relationship Management), CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) and SMS (Short Message Service), as well as the systems of maintenance and security service providers.
ATOM monitors and registers errors in real-time and can notify designated persons via SMS. The system also allows remote uploading and downloading of software. The system can power itself on and off; resetting of each module can be managed remotely through RPC (Remote Power Control).
The cash management module, OCM (Optimum Cash Manager), was co-developed by the Optimization Laboratory and Department of Computer Science at Seoul National University, according to the release. OCM analyzes cash management history and forecasts future cash needs.
NH hopes to expand into global service markets with the ATOM system.
