HOUSTON - Cardtronics announced Fiserv, Inc. will provide ATM processing services through a new agreement that gives Cardtronics diversity among its sources of ATM drivers, according to a news release.
Fiserv, through its Fiserve EFT/CNS unit, will provide processing for about 14 million transactions a year at more than 1,000 ATMs acquired recently from American Express Company.
"This agreement supports our strategy to be a quality provider of ATMs and ATM services," said Michael Clinard, chief operating officer for Cardtronics. "Adding Fiserve as a processing partner ensures high quality and reliability for our customers."
Cardtronics also joined the Fiserve ACCEL®/Exchange® regional network, adding its 12,000 ATMs to the network and providing access for 80 million network cardholders to Cardtronics ATMs.
ACCEL/Exchange has about 4,000 member organizations, allowing participating cardholders to access their funds at more than 50,000 ATMs and 1.6 million point-of-sale devices, according to the release.
