NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Diebold, Incorporated (NYSE: DBD) is now offering ImageWay ATM software, an electronic check-imaging solution for ATMs.
Diebold partnered with Alogent, a provider of image workflow transition solutions for financial institutions, in November. The companies have integrated Alogent's payment processing software with Diebold's self-service software to offer an end-to-end deposit automation solution for ATMs.
According to a news release, ImageWay makes it possible for financial institutions to capture
check images and transaction data at the ATM and seamlessly process and route them through the entire item processing system.
By leveraging electronic check images and transaction data, ImageWay reduces the cost and
increases the speed of check processing, and paves the way for check truncation.
ImageWay ATM software can be used with Diebold Opteva ATMs and the popular ix Series terminals, according to the release.
"Financial institutions are eager to migrate to check imaging at the ATM in order to improve the quality of the deposit transaction for the consumer," said Thomas Swidarski, Diebold's senior vice president, Strategic Development and Global Marketing. "With the introduction of ImageWay, we've also provided our customers with a deposit automation and check image transfer solution that can generate savings, accurately assign float, reduce fraud from empty envelopes and further increase consumer reliance on self-service delivery channels."
