Co-Op Network expands Northeast presence with CU24 network deal

CU24 has also contracted with Co-Op Network to become the processor for its current participating credit unions, located principally in New York and New Jersey, upon expiration of its current processing agreement with another vendor.

The agreement allows CU24 participating credit unions to expand ATM access for their members through CO-OP Network's nearly 18,000 surcharge-free machines around the country. Meanwhile, Co-Op Network gains expanded ATM access in the Northeast for its credit union membership from around the country.

NYSCUL, headquartered in Latham, N.Y., and serving as the trade association for New York credit unions since 1917, founded the CU24 ATM network in 1993. CU24 is jointly endorsed by NYSCUL and the New Jersey Credit Union League.

"It's taken almost two years to complete this agreement whereby Co-Op Network and the CU24 network will benefit equally," said Co-Op Network CEO Robert Rose. "Ultimately, this is an exceptional opportunity to bolster Co-Op Network's standing with the credit union community, while CU24 credit unions will be able to provide unparalleled national surcharge-free ATM access to their members."
