LONG BEACH, Miss. - Triton introduced the RT2000, its first through-the-wall ATM designed specifically for retail locations, at its Annual Triton Conference today in Biloxi, Miss.
According to a news release, the RT2000 provides an affordable new option for retailers that want an all-weather ATM that is visible and accessible to customers from the sidewalk, lobby, parking area, or mall atrium.
"Our customers have told us they want low-cost Triton reliability in a through-the-wall ATM that can provide fee-generating transactions around the clock, even when their retail premises are closed," said Triton President Brian Kett.
The RT2000 incorporates the same Intel XScale processing platform used in the FT5000, a through-the-wall ATM intended for financial insitutions introduced by Triton last year. The new machine has cost-effective dial-up communications and TCP/IP capabilities, an 80 millimeter thermal printer presenter and a multi-lingual customer interface.
Standard security features include a Triple DES-compliant EPP (encrypting PIN pad) that meets all existing international security standards.The RT2000 also offers text-to-speech audio transactions for the visually impaired and is fully compliant with all current and proposed ADA requirements.
Customer options for the RT2000 include Triton Waves, a package of revenue-generating functions that include Western Union Money Transfers, PaySpot prepaid wireless top-ups, and CashWorks check cashing. Other options include a 6.5-inch color display and a variety of single and multi-cassette dispensing configurations including Triton's new TDM-200 and TDM-250 cash dispensers.
TDM cash dispensers are manufactured by Triton to its own specifications. The TDM-200 offers two 550-note cassettes, while the TDM-250 offers dual 1,300-note cassettes. The TDM's dual cassettes enable operators to offer different bill denominations or currencies.
Both units offer a mechanism life of 250,000 notes with no preventive maintenance, according to the release.
