EDINBURGH, UK - China Construction Bank (CCB) has selected KAL's Kalignite as the multi-vendor software platform for its ATM network.
KAL's development partner in China, Shenzen Zijin, will supply the Kalignite-based application to CCB, the largest bank in China with more than 20,000 branches.
The application is currently in pilot at three branches.
According to a news release, the Kalignite platform enables CCB to deploy a single ATM application across its entire estate, reducing the cost of application development and maintenance as well as improving the speed of deployment of software enhancements across the network.
"There is a significant movement in China toward the adoption of true multi-vendor ATM software" said Aravinda Korala, KAL's chief executive. "With their new Kalignite-based software solution, CCB can choose the exact ATM model and type that suits each deployment, independent of hardware vendor."
In addition to standard cash dispensing functionality, Kalignite also supports cash recycling, bundled cash and check acceptance, passbook-printing and more.
According to the release, Kalignite-based software is fully integrated and tested on hardware from 25 ATM vendors worldwide.
